The day began with an assembly where students were given their results from the previous year and were congratulated on their successes. Then, the event got underway with parents and guests joining in the celebrations for each of the school’s 2016 leavers. Each student was presented with a certificate of achievement and a backpack filled with essential items for their new life away from school. Some of these items included: an Australian College Handbook, transport passes, money, health insurance, and contact details for families and friends back home. Finally, each student had the opportunity to say a few words about their time at Dunsborough High School and what they are hoping to achieve in the future.
