Nissan announces the launch of a new design of light van, to be called the NV350 URVAN, which is now in its fifth generation, having been introduced in Japan in 1973. The Nissan Urvan has been highly regarded as the most versatile and practical light van, catering to the needs of both people and goods, in addition to general business use. With a series of upgrades, the new NV350 URVAN has been taken to the next level and has significantly improved fuel consumption. With its contemporary design, spacious and comfortable interior and cargo space, and a number of unique features in its class, you can enjoy a convenient and comfortable business drive. The optional larger diameter stabiliser bar and longer stroke shock absorbers provide extra stability and comfort.
The new NV350 URVAN is equipped with Nissan’s newly developed YD25DDTi turbo diesel engine with new clean diesel eco-technology, which sets an average fuel consumption record of 11.4 km/L (EU Combine mode). The electronically operated turbocharger has been changed to make acceleration at low revolutions even quicker. Thanks to the wide range of maximum torque revolutions (from 1,400-2,000 rpm), the URVAN retains its maximum torque range for long periods of time in any band of driving or at high speed, thus reducing fuel consumption and power loss. Combined with a five-speed manual transmission or five-speed automatic transmission, which is tailored to Hong Kong’s unique road conditions, the average acceleration response is particularly quick and quiet, and the overall acceleration is among the best in its class.
With a cargo space of 2,865mm in length, the new NV350 URVAN offers a large cargo area and a class-leading load capacity of 1,390kg. The interior layout has been carefully designed to provide maximum convenience and flexibility, allowing passengers to enjoy their journey in the spacious interior. If necessary, the middle row of seats can be folded down to make more space for cargo, making it even more flexible than its competitors. The front driver’s and passenger’s seats are equipped with armrests above the driver’s and passenger’s seats, which, together with the enlarged driver’s seat space, makes access to the cabin even easier. The saloon-oriented interior offers plenty of space for shoulders, knees and legs. In the rear, there are also air conditioning vents to provide complete comfort for the passengers. A new multifunctional dashboard provides the driver with real-time information on the vehicle, including data on average fuel consumption and shift times.
