BCC Admissions Stats at a Glance:
Bristol has one of the most affluent and diverse student populations of any city in New England. A relatively low cost of living and a close-knit community (about 3 mi deep within the city), attract people from all over the country to attend school in Bristol. The presence of Keene State College, a smaller liberal arts university, also attracts many students from New Hampshire and Vermont. Boston College is also located nearby (about 1.7 mi north). Roughly 10 percent of Bristol’s student population attends college out-of-state and nearly 50 percent are state residents from Massachusetts.
Applying Early to BCC:
I applied Early Action to Keene State College (KSC) because I had been visiting their campus a lot that summer and loved it there. I also thought about applying Early Action to Boston College, but I ended up choosing KSC. Log in to AccessBCC using this address.
BCC Acceptances:
I was waitlisted from both colleges in late March and then rejected from KSC in late April. They did not provide me with an explanation for the reasoning behind my denial, but said that they would reconsider my application if I chose to remain on their waitlist or submit an appeal letter.
How Hard Is It To Get Admitted to BCC:
California Baptist University does not require SAT/ACT scores from applicants and operates on a rolling admissions basis. For prospective students with an ACT of less than 18 or an SAT of less than 900, California Baptist University has some requirements to be met in order to be considered for admittance. Applicants must complete one of the following: 4 years of high school math, Algebra 1 and Geometry; 2 years of high school math, Algebra I and Geometry; 3 years of college-level math courses including calculus or statistics; 2 years at the university level with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. These students will have their application reviewed by the Admissions Office before admission is granted.
Essay Questions:
Typical essay questions asked by California Baptist University include: Why are you interested in this field of study? How will your background and career goals fit with the program? How will our program benefit you? Berkeley Transfer Associate Degree Program GPA requirements / minimums: A student applying for admission to one of the Transfer Associate Degree programs at California Baptist University must have completed a minimum of 60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) of transferable college credit before matriculation. A maximum of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours may be taken at a less than a “C” grade level.
